Gun law is a special branch in my field of activity, administrative law. Here I advise authorized persons, associations, shooting clubs, traditional shooters and also the guarding and security industry in exercising their rights and obligations towards the licensing authorities. As an organ of the administration of justice, which is committed to prevention, I reserve the right to carefully examine the assumption of a mandate with regard to the permit conditions of the WaffG. On the one hand, because the Weapons Act rightly sets restrictive facts. On the other hand, in order not to feed false expectations - costly - or to ward off abusive intentions. But then also when there is a real need to be able to stand up for my clientele with sufficient prospects of success.

And here is the scandal of how the state dealt with the amnesty for gun owners in 2009!

But also a lesson about the pitfalls the Weapons Act still holds today and how delicately your lawyer has to work:
Up until December 31, 2009, gun owners were allowed to deliver guns and ammunition requiring a permit to a police station "free of punishment". So it was in the law. But when bona fide citizens did so, they were amazed when, despite the legally guaranteed amnesty, the police instituted criminal proceedings against the illegal transport of these weapons to the police station. The police are innocent here. Because of the so-called legality principle, the officials could not do otherwise. The shoddy legislative process is solely to blame. And the result: the lawyer has his hands full to work towards an attitude, which is by no means a sure-fire success. In the event of a judicial setting, there is even a risk of court costs. But the real damage has been done to the citizens' trust in law and order! And rightly so!
